DayTrader allows active stock-trading customers greater decision-making and remote management of their portfolios. DayTrader provides the ability to connect, display and the ability to react to any stock ticker or other information source that provides market-specific information services, in real-time*.
DayTrader is an evolving component of our TandemIM Real-time Platform . Current financial functionality includes a user/broker programmable stock alert server, to provide SMS based alerts on user-defined criteria. Additional functionalities can be built-in based on business needs, promoting carrier-patronage, such as SMS to Voice, and these can be delivered to wireline phones.
DayTrader can be customized to automatically initiate a call announcing the name and price of the stock in the portfolio when the desired price has been reached.
DayTrader in Action
A cellular subscriber will send an SMS to a Short Service Number (SSN) defined by the Carrier, the system will respond with method of getting and setting information
Example 12345 is the SSN for DayTrader service. A blank SMS will give users the options as below:

LSP <Stock Symbol> sent to 12345 will return the Last available Stock Price
2.
SYM <Company Name> sent to 12345 will return the stock Symbol of the name entered
3.
CHA <Stock Symbol> <Alert High> <Alert Low> sent to 12345 will change prior entry, if an exact match of the symbol
4.
DEL <Stock Symbol> sent to 12345 will delete Stock from user portfolio
5.
ALL sent to 12345 will return information of ALL stocks in the portfolio
DayTrader system is suitable for deployment at most cellular carriers' networks and creates opportunity for value-added sticky services.
